Cultural Question Time
Are we squandering our cultural resources?
An Agora debate in association with the South Bank Centre

Location: Southbank Centre, Purcell Room, 7pm
Members of the public are invited to put their questions to a panel of
cultural commentators and thinkers. Why do we need greater participation from the
cultural sector to find creative solutions to social issues? Panel members include:
Lisa Jardine, Derrick Anderson CEO of Lambeth, Jan Younghusband, Helena Kennedy QC
and Grayson Perry.
The second-half of the evening will be a discussion and comment, chaired by Anna Fazackerley , Director of Agora.
Sitting on Agora's expert panel will be:
Simon Blackburn, Professor of Philosophy at the University of Cambridge, and author of popular philosophy books including "Think", and "Truth: A Guide";
Susan Bassnett, Director of the Centre for Translation and Comparative Cultural Studies and Pro Vice Chancellor at the University of Warwick, newspaper columnist and author.
Adrian Monck, Head of Journalism and Publishing at City University, and a former award-winning broadcast journalist with ITN, CBS News and Sky News.
Michael Worton, Fielden Professor of French Language & Literature and Pro Vice Chancellor at University College London.
